Welcome To Fujairah Customs Department

Fujairah Customs was established through am Emiri decree issued by his highness Sheikh Hamad Bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Supreme Council and Ruler of Fujairah, in 1983. This ushered a new dawn in Fujairah. Significance of that period was the simplicity of customs procedures.

he department was composed of two divisions – Clearance (documentation) and Inspection located in Fujairah Port. Due to the rapid local and international changes and high volume of investments and trade whether intra-regional, regional or international, it was necessary to keep up and adapt to such development. Hence the expansion was witnessed in all sections of the department. In order to facilitate improvement and increase competencies of the department invested in the development to modernize, train and acquire equipment and local manpower being fully aware of the huge responsibility assumed to the department due to the rapid growth, investment and economic turnaround.
